Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 [Hotel Review]

Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 brings savvy travellers to the heart of Bangkok’s commercial and entertainment district
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) welcomes Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11, the fourth Holiday Inn Express hotel to open in Thailand since the brand’s launch in the country in 2012.
The new 161-room hotel offers smart and savvy travellers direct access to Bangkok’s lively Sukhumvit district, with plenty of dining and entertainment options right at their doorstep.
Located along Sukhumvit 11, adjacent to the bustling Sukhumvit Road in downtown Bangkok, travellers can enjoy a swift 30-minute transit to the hotel after touching down at either Suvarnabhumi International Airport or Don Mueang International Airport. Both Nana BTS Skytrain and Sukhumvit MRT stations are also within walking distance, making Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 a smart and convenient choice for travellers to explore the city by train.
“Thailand is well known for both its vibrant city centres and sandy beaches, attracting over 20 million visitors each year, and the emergence of travellers who want the guarantee of a fuss-free stay at a reasonable rate. The Holiday Inn Express brand caters to this demand by providing guests with a refreshing and uncomplicated experience in convenient locations around the world. We expect a busy opening period for Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11, our third in Thailand’s capital, and look forward to providing our guests a welcoming stay in Bangkok,” said Alan Watts, Chief Operating Officer, Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA), IHG.
When staying at Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11, travellers are just steps away from Sukhumvit Road, one of the longest boulevards in Thailand and home to some of the country’s most popular shopping centres, trendy restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Guests can either take a quick walk to shopping malls such as Terminal 21 and Central Embassy for some retail therapy, or hop onto the Skytrain to Chatuchak Weekend Market for a more local shopping experience.

The streets surrounding the hotel are also lined with hawkers selling the best of Thailand’s street food. While guests can start their day right in the morning with free Express Start™ Breakfast, food lovers can continue to explore the food capital of Bangkok for some local fare or treat their taste buds to authentic French cuisine at popular French restaurants, Oskar or Chez Pape in the vicinity.
After a day of exploring, guests can enjoy a refreshing power shower in their hotel rooms and step out to discover Bangkok’s pulsating nightlife at trendy night spots such as Q Bar, Levels or Bash.

Entering the Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 was very relieving as everything was clean and tidy as compared to the bustling streets out there.. and it smells great in there too~!
The reception counter has a very nice bluish glittering tiles which makes the place looks fresh and stylish.. and the lobby was brightly lit by the natural lights outside.
Diagonally opposite the reception counter is the Great Room where guests would have their breakfast here. Snacks & beverages can be purchased here during Day & Evening Time.. :)
READ THIS: In a hurry?
Skip the queue and head to the Grab & Go counter to pick up a beverage, muffin and fresh fruit.
Waiting area beside the reception counter.
While waiting you can purchase some snacks and/or beverages here..
Guests can sit here just opposite the waiting area to use and surf the net..
I personally feel that this is very important. It provides connectivity for the guests to the world. Even though there is WiFi within the hotel, but sometimes its easier to use a desktop for certain matters like checking important emails and flights. If there is problem with the guest's phone/devices connecting to the WiFi, he/she can just use the desktop provided at the lobby for the moment.
Speaking about WiFi.. Each guest would be provided with a password to log-in to the hotel WiFi.
Remember! You NEED TO LOG-IN with the password to get the Full WiFi Connectivity provided by the hotel.
After you have log-in with your password to the hotel WiFi network..
the Speed is undeniably FAST!
Going up to my room!
Nice brightly lit walkway to my room..
Here it is.. Nice Number!
Did they give it to me purposely?
8 in Chinese is a Nice Number.. It means Prosper!
Anyway, Thanks Holiday Inn Express for these numbers! :)
Very spacious room!
As Holiday Inn Express has this idea that travellers would spend more time outside than in the hotel room, be it for work or holiday. Hence, only the things that you would need would be provided just right for you.
Coffee making, Safe box and Fridge are all in one of this top!
Making EVERYTHING Very Convenient!
When I reach my hotel room.. I just throw everything, my camera, shades and cards on the table top!
I truly like the idea of the transparent front-door fridge - at a glance we can see what is inside and if we have left anything behind in the fridge.
Nice queen size bed is all I need with myself and my companion.
The bed is firm and comfortable. The Pillows are categorised into Soft and Firm so you can choose which one you prefer, without even asking the hotel staff to bring in additional pillows for you if its too soft. Saving all the troubles and hassles~! This is SMART!
Nice simply floral carpeting..
Rest Area...
And a nice working desk.
I even felt that the swivel chair was very comfortable and wanna bring it back home.. IF I can! haha~
Refreshing power showers with a three-function massage showerhead and fluffy towels to rejuvenate and refresh guests after a day of exploring the city
As mentioned earlier.. only the things that you need would be provided for you.
Hence, everything there in the toilet is just right!
A note beside the basin says..

Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 follows the successful opening of Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn in 2014 which I would be reviewing in the next post. It is the 11th Holiday Inn Express hotel to open in South East Asia (SEA). The hotel joins 17 other IHG properties in the country, making Thailand home to the group’s largest number of hotels in the South-East Asia region, which will continue expanding to include eight more hotels in the next three to five years.
