Cavalia Must Close October 5th - Final Week Extension‏!

CAVALIA TO TAKE ITS LAST CURTAIN CALL WITH FINAL WEEK EXTENSION- MUST CLOSE OCTOBER 5
LAST CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE THE MAGIC & BEAUTY OFCAVALIAIN SINGAPORE!

SINGAPORE (September 18, 2014) - After sold-out performances and overwhelming demand  throughout Southeast Asia, the producers of Cavalia are delighted to announce a final week of shows in Singapore before it travels to Seoul. This unique theatrical production featuring 50 magnificent horses and 42 artists, has played to standing ovations since its opening night, will now have its last performance under the White Theatre Tent at Bayfront Avenue next to Marina Bay Sands on October 5. Tickets are now on sale.

“The reception we’ve received so far in Singapore has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic,” said Normand Latourelle, Cavalia's Founder and Artistic Director. He added: “Not only has the show been embraced by horse lovers, but also by those who enjoy innovative arts, and we see a lot of families - children, parents and grandparents - coming to enjoy this unique and rare spectacle. This first stop of our inaugural Asian tour has been a tremendous success so far, and we couldn’t be happier.”

Singapore audiences have been treated to breath-taking performances night after night during this lavish production, watching horses cavort with the many artists in front of a constantly changing digital background projected onto a 60 metre-wide screen, drawing spectators into dream-like environments.

Cavalia immediately established itself as one of the most critically-acclaimed productions this year in Singapore when it opened in August. The Straits Times declared the show was exciting and that, “This immense production is more than horseplay,” while TODAY Newspaper raved giving it 5 stars saying it was “an awe-inspiring experience with the best mix of equestrian and performing arts.” Glenn Ong of Class 95 hailed the production as “The most spectacular show, breathtaking, a must-see!” and Yahoo! Entertainment highly recommended Cavalia calling it “a visual spectacle that the whole family will enjoy.”

Milan Rokic, Managing Director of BASE Entertainment Asia stated, “Cavalia has been extremely well received here in Singapore and we are really pleased audiences have loved the show, but unfortunately no further extensions are possible as Cavalia must pack up its magnificent White Theatre tent together with 100 containers of equipment and leave our shores for its next Asian destination, which is Seoul. Following the special performances scheduled for the F1 weekend there will only be 14 shows left for audiences to catch this once in a life time production. Don’t miss it!”

TICKETS – For its exclusive season in Singapore, Cavalia is presented under its signature White Theatre Tent at Bayfront Avenue, beside Marina Bays Sands. Tickets are priced from S$58 to S$188+ service fees. For guests who desire an extraordinary outing, the show can be customized for an extended experience from S$208 to S$288, including a Horse Lovers Package that lets patrons tour Cavalia’s stables after the show, and the VIP Rendez-Vous Package that includes a post-show tour of the stables, a cocktail/dinner reception and much more.

Rolls Royce New Wraith.

The Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Director of Design Giles Taylor explains in an interview on YouTube the car model naming decision of the Wraith that is shown today at the Geneva Motor Show. According to him the reason the name Wraith suits the new car model so well is “this sense of fleeting – the fleeting spirit, slightly ethereal, slightly enigmatic”. I should include the official meaning of the word wraith (according to the Oxford Dictionary):

a ghost or ghostlike image of someone,
especially one seen shortly before or after their death.

the original Wraith model by Rolls-Royce from 1938

Attended the 'AFTERIMAGES' Movie Gala Premiere @ The Cathay Cineplex!

 A brief introduction by the members of the cast.
And the show started at around 9 pm.

Have a look at the trailer to have a glimpse of it!

Synopsis

AFTERIMAGES, a collection of five short horror stories that unfold when a group of students burn paper effigy cameras for the wandering spirits during the ghost month and they receive films in return.

What do I have to say about this movie?

I would say its quite a nice local film. But at one part of the show I felt the ghost was not that realistic. An omission of it would be better for the show. And the main casts didn't act much actually because the show was distributed into 5 different short stories which were acted by some other people. The main casts only appeared at the beginning and end of the show, and intermissions between the short stories. Good effort though! Because the I got frightened a few times... so is my partner who went along with me. :P

Movie Rating: 2.5/5

Oh ya.. over here its at Golden Mile Complex.
All the bloggers gather here.. :)

 And here.. How could we not snap a pictureee together!?

On our way to the Tuas Checkpoint.. we were given this Julie's OAT 25 biscuit to try..
A Good Start for the day!
I tried it.. and it's Nice with some strawberry bits on it! :)

After about 3-4 hrs ride on the bus.. we finally arrived at the Julie's Factory - Perfect Food Manufacturing. This is just one of their factory.. but its the Main one.

We were guided to their Julie's Café for a lunch..
with their Director, Mr Martin Ang.

On the table we spotted these very cute bottles of mineral water.. and took a picture of it.

After lunch.. all of us were guided to the meeting room for a "CONFERENCE"!

Well, its just a brief introductory of Julie's before we head to visit their factory.
Look at the fellow bloggers who were so attentive and captivated by the presenter.

This is one of the presenter Cathy Hoo.. who gave us an introduction to Julie's.

Later we have to put on this suit before we enter the factory.. its for hygiene purpose.
I don't really look good in this.. cos I wore stripes inside. ha..

 After the factory visit.. we were back in to this room, and Mr Martin Ang, director of Julie's gave us a better understanding of Julie's. He mentioned "What we don't eat, we don't let people eat", they live by this company's philosophy to succeed!

Over here... each of us were given this gift which is to promote "THE BEST OF YOU" campaign organised by Julie's.

THE BEST OF YOU!

Its a social movement by Julie's which hopes to celebrate everyday heroes and spur on a more gracious and appreciative community!

Very GENEROUS!
My family will have a good time enjoying them!

Thanks Julie's!

======

By the way.. Why is it called Julie?

I guess many might ask and wanna know the answer.

Here's the answer.

People normally perceive Julie an to be a girl with secret recipe and baked biscuits full of love.
Their founder was looking for a name that is universal and easy to remember which is accepted both locally and internationally. Hence, he chose Julie's instead of having a Chinese name like some local manufacturers that u may heard of.

From the start, he had the mindset to expand his love for biscuits and to distribute biscuits baked with love locally and internationally! And that's how Julie's came about! :)
I personally felt that it is good to have this name as they can sell their products to both locally and internationally. If your product name is after a Chinese name, it might be abit hard to sell in those European countries for example.

  ~~~
After this trip.. I get to learn more about Julie's biscuits and had an experience going through a biscuit factory. I even tried on one of their products (Peanut Butter Sandwich) while its still warm after they have packaged it! Good experience! Having tried more of their biscuits, I really find that Julie's Biscuits are nice! And I even brought some to my office so that I can have them when I'm hungry! :)
These are the biscuits I brought to office..
Sometimes I work overtime.. I can have them! ;)
An Advertisement I spotted outside while on my way home at Dhoby Ghaut.. promoting the movement The Best Of You by Julie's!
Here's another one I spotted on my way to work..
and this is along Havelock Rd.
At Dhoby Ghaut MRT station.
What do I have to say for this campaign?
I hope everyone will take some time.. just a few minutes to think through who made the best out of your life. Do not take anything or Anyone for granted.
